The Reason For My Faith

 

 

I continue to run across those who defend the lie being told in the television series depicting the life of Jesus Christ, called, “The Chosen”. The statement Jesus makes in the movie happens in the 3rd episode of Season 3. Let me first state that I know millions of Christians feel blessed by the show, and for that I am grateful. However, I must state that I wish Christians would be more discerning about what they would allow their children to watch, and what they themselves watch. Especially if the show distorts things Jesus did or said, that are contrary to the Scriptures. When I first learned of the statement the movie claims Jesus spoke I was appalled by the writers lack of understanding of Who Jesus is, and what the Scriptures tell us.

Let me start by making a statement that is truth, and no one can deny it, unless they deny the very ONE Who dies for our salvation. Jesus is GOD, He is not a law handed to Moses. Jesus fulfilled the Law, and thus abolished it. By abolishing it, I speak of it being abolished for those who now put their faith in Christ. Those who do not, are under the law, which the Israelites proved they could not follow. Paul called the Galatians foolish, because they allowed Judaizers. to convince them they needed to follow the Law.  Judaizers were a group of Jewish Christians who insisted that their co-religionists should follow the Mosaic Law and be circumcised.  This is why Paul wrote the letter, where he explained to them that the Law was a tutor.

“Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.”
(Galatians 3:24-25)So if the laws was but a tutor guiding and directing the Israelites, and ultimately the Jews, in understanding how GOD wanted them to live and worship, then, as Paul stated, Jesus justified those who have faith in HIM through HIS work on the cross. Thus Paul wrote, we are no longer under the control of a tutor, but rather under Christ Jesus, and covered by HIS redeeming blood.  Thus the law is obsolete to Christians.  Which in a nut shell, Jesus is not what HE made obsolete? However, there is a book that claims Jesus said He was the Law, the “Book of Mormons”,

“Behold,” He said, “I am the law, and the light. Look unto me, and endure to the end, and ye shall live”
(3 Nephi 15:9). (Book Of Mormon)It is without a doubt and undisputed that the Mormon Church  teaches heresy. All the twisting and word smithing of the Scriptures, to justify what they teach, will never make that statement true. Mind you, all cults begin with the misunderstanding of Who Jesus is, and how He satisfied the law of Moses to become the forever lamb sacrificed before time began. Depending upon the translation one reads, there are over 770,000 words in the Bible. Yet, in all those words, never once did GOD refer to Himself as the Law.  The Holy Spirit never ever led any writers of the Scriptures to ever claim GOD is the Law.We are told that the way we know a prophet is not from GOD, is by the fruits of their words.

And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’ when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
(Deuteronomy 18:21-22)God has stern warnings for those who would proclaim to be a prophet yet claim God tells us that which we know are lies,

But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put away the evil from your midst.
(Deuteronomy 13:3)James even tells the danger we put ourselves in when teaching, so all who teach better be right.

“My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.”
(James 3:1-2)I am a writer, one who knows Hebrew and greek, and I never ever claim GOD said anything He did not say. To put words in HIS mouth is blasphemy. Remember, we will be judged at a higher standard than the uneducated Christians who watch shows like “The Chosen”. I advise those who make movies about the Scriptures, to be very careful what they pay the actors to say when they claim HOD said something.

When you wish to kill a mouse, you do not use 99% of poison, your use 99% of food and 1% of poison. The mouse must like what it eats, and then it will take the poisoned food back to it’s nest and eventually the whole nest will die. Souls are the same, Satan knows how to kill the soul, he starts by luring unsuspecting Christians who seldom read the Word by telling them things that sound good, and may be true, but in his words are words of poison. Then, many Christians repeat those false statements to their loved ones and friends, and it is not long before whole cults sprout from those false words believed to be true.

One of those minions of satan was Joseph Smith, who spent his life twisting the Scriptures and luring un educated people into believing the lies of Satan. Mind you, Hitler, Stalin, Mao killed hundreds of millions, but they only killed the body. Joseph Smith has poisoned the very souls of billions through the years. Many of those killed by dictators will be in heaven, because they died knowing the true Jesus and the truth of HIS Words. Joseph Smith built his cult on lies he taught to those who followed him. So, all those mormons going to the grave will never be in heaven, because Joseph Smith lured them into his lies that sent their souls to hell! Among other lies taught by the Mormon Church is that Jesus and Satan are brothers. Which in and of itself would deny Jesus being GOD.

If I were making a movie or a television series on the life of any character in the Bible, whether that be Abraham, Moses, David, Isaiah, or peter, Paul, or GOD, the last ones I would consult for facts on the Scriptures would be those from the Mormon Church. What does God have to do with Baal? As yourself, when did Jesus ever have anything to do with a function that Satan was a part of? He even called the Pharisees and Sadducees the children of their father the devil. Thus he never had any dealings with them, other than when they came to him to ask questions.
