Betty Louise McCollum is an American politician serving as the
U.S. representative for Minnesota’s 4th congressional district
Congresswoman Betty McCollum is claiming that conservatives like me are inciting hate, racism, and intolerance by showing the world that she has no respect for our pledge. In the article that had the video attached to it, I also stated that she is a hypocritical Christian because she runs around using her Catholic faith as a reason she should be re-elected. So she is also claiming that I am attacking her faith. It all began on Sunday when I posted a video of the Congresswoman from Minnesota’s 4th District leading the Pledge of Allegiance on the floor of the House of Representatives. In the video you can clearly see her omitting the words “under God” from the oath. After I posted the video, it went viral on the web. Even Fox News picked it up and ran the CSPAN video with the story that shows her intentionally omitting “under God.” It wasn’t long before the blogosphere jumped on the bandwagon by the thousands and ran with the story. Now, the Congresswoman from Minnesota is trying to do damage control.
Well since then, I have been in contact with some of her constituents who are doing all they can to get her defeated by supporting her challenger, conservative Republican and law professor, Teresa Collett. Then today I was given some information about a certain individual who has been making the rounds on the internet and spamming the blogs that have carried the video and written about Betty’s disrespect for the pledge. This individual is using the name MN04, but the email address is ( District4.Minnesota@mail.house.gov) a government address. So now we have a United States Congresswoman’s campaign staff using official government equipment to attack citizens while doing damage control. Below is the comment that has been left on thousands of sites that posted the video of her disrespecting the Pledge of Allegiance on the floor of the Peoples House.
“Congresswoman McCollum has led the Pledge of Allegiance on the House floor several times before. Check out http://mccollum.house.gov/pledge. It’s all there.”
For any tech savvy individuals out there, here is the IP address { 143.231.249.141 } from the computer that sent the damage control comment. It seems to have come straight from her Washington DC House of Representative office. Below are just a few of the places I found that are being hit with her damage control comment.

When I first attempted to check out the damage control site that was posted with her comment, I was first unable to get. Then I decided to drop the word “pledge” from the end of the URL they are passing out and I was able to get in to McCollum’s official government financed web site. It’s my guess they were attempting to throw me off with the wrong URL in hopes that I would just shrug my shoulders and forget about it. It is the same URL they have been using on all sites they are spamming with the message. When I did check out her site I noticed they have a disclaimer that states that she honors the pledge and if you read the whole letter it says she has even led the pledge other times in the House. However, that is not all the letter says, check it and the videos she offers for her defense below.

So after checking out her site I came away with the feeling that she just doesn’t like Conservatives. Not only does she claim that the right wing is smearing her by inciting hate, racism, and intolerance, she also claims we are questioning her faith. Excuse me, but she is the one that has a problem with her faith, because she is the one who refused to use the phrase, “under God.” I just showed the world how disrespectful she was. As far as the hate speech, she offers a pdf file that I screen captured so there is no doubt as to where it came from, and posted it below. Personally I think someone on her staff, or Obama’s staff, made that flier and then copied it a few hundred times so they could share it with the rest of their Socialist friends just to have something they claim was sent to them by a conservative TEA party member. I would like to see the report that the FBI has as to this being reported, because I doubt it ever was reported. I say that because this is the first time I have ever seen this, and I am sure that the MSM would have made sure we saw it before.
Now, as for the videos she has to offer as proof that she has led the Pledge of Allegiance before and never left off the words “under God.” All I can say is I could not care less if she led the pledge 3000 times with the words “under God” included. The fact is she not only left it out, she also clammed up and disrespectfully refused to say the words while leading the whole House. Besides, I looked at the videos she offered, and I have them below for all to see that she was just as disrespectful in including the words as she was when she deliberately omitted them. These videos just help prove why she needs to be removed from office.
In this first video you will see her purposely omit the words, “under God.” Even though her staff tried to say she was just taking a short breath, you can clearly see her intentionally omitting the words. Something interesting that has been pointed out to me is that Betty actually says, “I pledge the
allegiance” instead of, “I pledge allegiance”. I find that interesting in that it almost sounds as if she is pledging someone else’s allegiance to the flag and country, but not hers.

In this next video, you can hear her clearly say the words, but not see her. I do accept it is her voice I hear. However, take a look at her facial expression after she finishes. She looks as if she was a bit disgusted with it. Just me, and I guess she could have been smiling on the inside but it looked painful for her to say the pledge. This is the only video where she does not ad the word “the” before allegiance.

In this video you can clearly hear and see the way she completely changes the way she is saying the pledge when she says the words, “under God.” As far as I am concerned, this video bolsters my point about her being disrespectful. I cannot believe her staff even wanted this one to be watched. Sorry Mrs. McCollum, but so far you are not looking like you honor the pledge or God. So along with her disrespect for the pledge by omitting the words, “under God”, and her pledging our allegiance instead of her own, she also comes off as if she does not like this part of the job. Maybe she needs to be given a chance to find a different job. May I suggest that the voters of Minnesota’s 4th Congressional district need to remove this disrespectful representative from office and instead send Teresa Collett to Washington on Nov 2.

Not sure how a congresswoman leading congress in the pledge of allegiance is anti-American, but then teabaggers were never really known for their reasoning skills.
If you read the original article that this is an extension from, you would understand that the problem is she lied and said she did say it. Then her staff said she was breathing, then she tried to smear those of us who pointed it out.
If she were to omit it as a regular member of the House that would be one thing, but she was leading the pledge. That is a violation of her position when she omitted the words, “under God”.
She claims to be a Christian and she then denies God.
Thats what a lot of people are wondering.
My Mother would be proud of her son, if she knew a United States Congresswoman was attacking him for telling the truth.

There was not one poll done in MNCD4! The next district over is Michelle Bachman’s, and that is high profile. On the other side is Keith Ellison, which is Minneapolis. Betty is St. Paul, and sits between the 2, and has been DFL since the mid-40’s! The GOP didn’t start investing in it till 2 weeks ago; everything was run by donations. There is the ghetto areas that if they vote, will probably go McCollum, then there is the uber liberal old St. Paul, which is reliable McCollum; the swing is the suburbs!

Polls? What polls? The media hasn’t spent the money in this district to do any, because its written off by everyone as blue. I can tell you it feels like there is change in the air. There are about 3 McCollum signs up in the district and today the St. Paul Pioneer Press decided not to endorse a candidate at all in the race, which is a slap in the face to a sitting Congresswoman. We need to push this story…there is something here if the media really wanted to dig into it!

Then you have your work cut out for you, but just look at Oberstar in Northern Minn., his closest race was in 1994, where he won 59% of the vote. However, this year he could lose it’s so close. What you do now is to set the stage for 2012 when the whole country will be getting rid of Obama. So I suggest you convince Teresa to run again, because right now her name is recognized nationally. You are correct sir; both @StPaulCDVoter and I served, and we have an oath to uphold! What really pisses me off, is I am a member of the VFW, and Betty received an endorsement from the VFW, along with other socialists, like Boxer and Pelosi. The VFW got so many phonecalls from pissed off members, the commander issued this statement dissolving the PAC, and rescinding all endorsements.

Betty McCollum still shows the endorsement on her site! I called her office on it the other day, and they said they never heard anything about it, and wouldn’t remove it till they received a letter. I called the MN VFW, and he started defending her (like he didn’t want to be bothered, as she is VFW auxiliary because her ex husband is a member). Then I asked if he saw the video of her Omitting God. He wasn’t happy, so I sent him the links.
I think they know they aren’t supposed to have that on their, but they keep it their to get the veterans vote!

I would strongly suggest that you put a frame around that racist fax specimen and put at title over it stating that it was from Congresswoman McCollum’s web site. I would further suggest merging the frame and title with the image as a single bitmap or other type of monolithic file.
Somebody quickly reading over your blog might see the image and think that it comes from you. Not everybody is going to go up and search for the explanation in the (large) block of test above the image to find out what the real story is.

I think I have found your answer. “I pledge THE allegiance” is a portion of a “prayer” of the progressive church of Unitarian Universalism, a social justice, socio-religious movement. Just Google the phrase “We pledge the allegiance of our hands and hearts” and you will find plenty of links.

I have an idea. Let’s cut through all the crap. This is typical of those who hate our country as well as the people who want to first destroy it with overwhelming the system, remove God, as well as anything that equates to American exceptionalism. Then the want to remake it into an image of their choosing. This is wrong and must be stopped. I also just love how this hag is upset because this came to light. So if you want transparency, honest smaller government, and candidates who respect this country, it’s people and it’s Constitution your a hate filled bigot. So vote this consummate lib idiot the hell out of office and show her some hate. What these libs don’t get is we no longer care about being called these names, or for the tactics. Thanks — I’m open to being persuaded about this issue, especially given the way McCollum has comported herself since your work (and the work of others) has brought this matter to light.
The main thing, on which I think we most certainly agree, is that Betty McCollum needs to go. And I’m glad that you have raised your voice about the way Betty rolls.
