God’s Promise To Israel Still Stands

God promised the land to Israel, and that promises still stands today. Make no mistake about it, God reiterated this to Hosea when He told him around 780- 740 BC, it will happen.

Remember, Hosea was told to take a wife of harlotry, to show how Gods people in both the Northern and Southern Kingdoms were playing the harlot with other gods. In this short chapter of 5 verses, Hosea tells us that just as he takes back his wife of harlotry, so too will He bring back all of Israel one day.

We know that God brought Judah back after 70 years in captivity, but Hosea’s book pertains to all 12 tribes of Israel, not just the ones that made up the southern Kingdom of Judah. Pay close attention to what God is telling the people of both Kingdoms.

Do not believe the 10 tribes of Israel are lost, God is still bringing them back after 2700 years of being dispersed. We know that many people from other tribes joined the Southern Kingdom after the split. (2Chronicles 11:16-17)

So long before the tribe of Judah returned from Babylon many from other tribes had joined the Southern Kingdom of Judah following the days when the Kingdoms split. Yet even for those still lost, God knows everything, even where His people are.

We read in chapter 2 that God will enter into a new covenant with them, giving them hope for reconciliation. Just as He promised through Jeremiah, Daniel, and Hosea that He would restore the Jews from the Babylonian captivity, Hosea 3:1-4. So too it has been happening since 1948.

This chapter does speak of Judah, but in Hosea 3:5 it strongly refers to all of Israel also. It is a promise to bring back the whole house of Israel and that they will be added to the Church of Christ in the latter days.

Anyone who claims that the land of Israel does not belong to the Israelites are blind to God’s promises.
