The Reason For My Faith

I assert my God-given right as a human,
To breathe the same air that you breathe,
To grow up in a land filled with hope and a future,
To see the same beauty God created that you see.

I assert that I have as much right to my life,
As the ones who would seek to take my life away,
As those who would discard my innocent life in this womb,
Just to preserve their own selfish designs.

I assert my God-given right to freedom,
Liberty, justice, and future blessings in the world,
And reject the evil thoughts of two-tiered caste systems,
Where your freedom demands that I lose my life.

I assert that I have a right before God to my life,
Just as those who would seek to take away my life,
All their wealth, their power, and influence, on unborn life,
Can never hide their malicious design on my life.

I’m nobody’s parasite, burden or blight,
I’m a human like you with a future in sight,
If you don’t want to raise me, then find me a home,
With parents who will love me and call me their own.

Lord Jesus, grant me the right to live my
life in the wold You created for me,
Amen.
