Do Apostles and Prophets Sill Exist?

I have had many ask me if Prophets and Apostles still exist today. Well Pastor Paul Leboutillier of Calvary Chapel in Ontario Oregon, does such a great job of answering this question, that I decided to share an excerpt Pastor Paul on this question which he nailed in his teaching on Acts 13:1-3.

Let us all remember that when it comes to the truth, you can always find an answer in the Scripture, and the Bible teaches that apostles and prophets were commissioned by God to be His personal spokesmen. The Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians,

“””Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”””
(Ephesians 2:19-20”)

Clearly, those who claim to be that kind of apostle and prophet today have taken upon themselves authority that was not given to them by God.

The prophetic words of Scripture exposes today’s false teachers and pretenders who claim GOD anointed them to be modern day Prophets and Apostles. Not only do these false prophets fail the biblical tests given to us throughout the Scriptures. These heretics mouth empty, boastful words, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature.

They use volumes of enticing words to lure people in who are searching for anyone who twill scratch their itchy ears. So they flock to these wolves in sheep clothing who promise them the desire of their flesh by telling them GOD wants them to have what the world offers.

“””How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?”—when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.”””
